Stage 3 –

Project Brief:

You have been asked by the school to design a sheltered area in the courtyard. It should fulfil the following criteria:

1. Stop pupils getting wet from the rain.
2. Shade pupils from the heat in the Summer.
3. After sheltering pupils should be able to move to the canteen without getting wet.
4. Cover an area larger 15 square meters but less than 415 square meters.
5. Take into account existing trees etc.

You have to consider the following things:

# Existing trees, plants and hard landscaping etc.
# Pupils needs
# How the design could support learning. Could this be in the structure or surface decoration(imagery? Text?..).
# Practicality of the design and materials.
Stage 3 – (continued)
